A 1983 update of the XJ750E that borrowed the XJ900 frame, exhaust, air filter and shaft drive. The engine gained a slightly longer stroke, enlarged valves, YICS and 33 mm carburettors for roughly 10% more power. The fairing now mounted to the frame instead of the fork, improving steering stability, and the tank grew to 22 litres.
